In anticipation of the grand opening in April 2018, over 100 young people have signed up to become members of Chorley’s brand new £4.8million Youth Zone, Inspire.

Currently under construction, the Youth Zone will be a safe and inspiring place for young people aged 8-19 years old and up to 25 for for those with a disability, to try new activities, learn new skills and meet new friends. Open 7 days a week, for just 50p per visit, members will have access to 20 activities each night including indoor climbing, gym, dance, arts & crafts, drama, archery and much more.

The first 100 members already signed up will be treated to VIP membership, which includes a trip to another OnSide Youth Zone before Inspire opens, providing an insight into what amazing opportunities will be coming to Chorley.

Plus, the first 100 members will also be invited to an exclusive ‘see it first’ event at Inspire Youth Zone, where they will be the very first to try all the new and exciting activities on offer.

Zach, age 8, pictured above, is all smiles as he is named Chorley Youth Zone’s 100th member. He said: “Me and my friends can’t wait for the Youth Zone to open, it is going to be somewhere fun where we can hang out and do activities together like drumming and trying boxing.”

Ryan Powell, Youth Work Manager at Inspire said “Chorley Youth Zone is a few months off completion but we already have young people eager to sign up – the feedback we have had from young people and the community has been fantastic. Chorley Youth Zone promises to be an inspirational place, where all young people can get active, make friends and have fun!”
