Be One of the 100 Local Legends Helping Keep Opportunity Open.

This year, Inspire is looking for 100 local people who are in a position to make an extraordinary personal gift of £1,000.

Together, those 100 gifts will raise £100,000 and help keep Inspire open, affordable and full of opportunity for thousands of local young people.

100 people. £1,000 each. One shared promise to back local young people.

Why It Matters

At Inspire, annual membership is just £5 and sessions cost only 50p, or are free whenever needed.

We deliberately keep those costs low because we want Inspire to be somewhere young people can access whatever life looks like at home.

But while young people pay pennies, the true cost of providing a safe place to belong, trusted adults to turn to, hot meals, activities and opportunities is far greater.

Like charities across the country, our costs have risen significantly. We don’t want the answer to be passing those costs on to young people.

That’s where the 100 come in.

If you are fortunate enough to be in a position to give £1,000, we’re asking you to stand alongside 99 other local people and help us keep opportunity open.

What Your Gift Makes Possible

Your £1,000 becomes part of something much bigger.

Together, the 100 will help provide:

  • A safe space where young people can spend time, grow and belong
  • Trusted Youth Workers who listen, guide and support
  • Sport, music, art, employability, wellbeing and opportunities to try something new
  • Free or subsidised access whenever cost could otherwise be a barrier
  • Hot meals for young people who need them, including 13,504 provided completely free last year
  • The everyday support that helps young people build confidence, resilience and belief in what’s possible

Why £1,000?

Because 100 gifts of £1,000 becomes £100,000 of local impact.

It is a significant personal gift and we know it won’t be possible for everyone.

This campaign is for those who can.

If that’s you, your £1,000 can become even more valuable. If you donate personally and complete a Gift Aid declaration, Inspire could receive £1,250 at no additional cost to you.

If you’re a higher-rate taxpayer, you may also be able to claim additional tax relief on your donation.

More Than a Donation

Becoming a Local Legend means joining 100 local people who have chosen to personally back the next generation.

As a Local Legend, you’ll receive:

  • An invitation to an exclusive Inspire networking event
  • Updates showing what your support is making possible
  • Recognition on our website, if you’d like it
  • Opportunities to get closer to Inspire and see our work first-hand
  • The chance to be part of something with a lasting impact on Chorley’s young people

100 people. £1,000 each.

Imagine what we can make possible together.

If you can be one of them, we’d love you to join us.

Become a Local Legend.
