A number of local trade businesses pulled together and generously contributed to installation of new fixtures being fitted at Inspire Youth Zone.
Inspire’s Be Transformed (a makeover room and working salon) and Be Comfortable (a relaxation and social room for young people at the Youth Zone) underwent a makeover in October 2018 that saw new worktops, storage units and shelving installed in the rooms.
Inspire reached out to Sarah Almond from Howdens of Chorley, and the business kindly agreed to contribute towards new storage areas for the rooms.
Local Joiner, Dean Taylor, then donated his time and expertise to the Youth Zone and fitted the units in each room free of charge.
Finally, Carl Titherley of Circuit Electrical Instillations Ltd. moved plug sockets in the Youth Zone to accommodate the newly installed storage units, also offering his time and expertise for free.
“It’s incredible to see the business community in Chorley working together to improve our building and massively help the charity.” Fundraising Manager, Sara Eltman, was a point of contact for the businesses at Inspire and was impressed with the stellar work delivered by the Chorley trades.
“The new installations look fantastic and they’ve already been put to good use by the staff and young people. From everyone at Inspire, thank you so much to Howdens, Dean and Carl for their generosity and the time they have dedicated to us.”
Local businesses that help Inspire Youth Zone in any way possible make all the difference to our ability to deliver the best sessions to the Young People of Chorley. If your business would like to help Inspire Youth Zone, get in touch with Sara by emailing Sara.Eltman@inspireyouthzone.org
