We’re incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by so many organisations who have the same belief in young people that we have. People who see their potential and who understand that by opening the door to new opportunities, giving them trusted adults to talk to and a space that’s theirs to feel safe and unjudged – we can truly transform young lives.
Markem Image is an organisation just like this. They sponsor our Be Honest room, a space dedicated for some of our most vital conversations. This could be 1-1 conversations with a young person about something that is troubling them, a conversation with parents about we can widen our support to the whole family, or even a space to host one of our bereavement sessions or mentoring. The opportunities for the space are endless… as is the impact.
After hearing about our new Makers Zone, a room dedicated to helping young people stay ahead of the game in the tech era, we were delighted to be visited by Markem’s Martin to deliver 6 brand new computers to go in the space. These computers will be put to use for a range of activities from coding to design and 3D printing to digital enterprise.
We’re so grateful for this additional support and if there is anyone else who could support us as we work to transform this space from a boxing ring to a makers space, we’d love to chat!
