Inspire, Chorley Youth Zone has launched its first volunteer recruitment campaign and aims to recruit over 70 volunteers in preparation for opening to thousands of young people in April 2018.
The brand new young people’s charity, Inspire, is relying on support from the community in order to open its doors to young people 7 days per week for just 50p per visit, with a target of ten volunteers supporting each night, bringing the overall volunteer target to seventy.
Each evening the Youth Zone will deliver over 20 activities for young people to choose from including, football, indoor climbing, gym, dance, arts & crafts, music and much more and it is now looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help support in delivering fun and engaging activities.
Alongside offering a wide range of activities, the Youth Zone will provide a safe place for young people to find a listening ear, access mentoring, develop their employability skills and enjoy a nutritious hot meal. Volunteers will play a rewarding role in supporting young people to live healthier, happier, more aspirational lives.
Michelle Graham, Volunteer and Training Manager at Inspire said “We are looking for people who can volunteer as little as three hours per week, no experience is need, just enthusiasm and a willingness to get stuck in! By donating your time at Inspire, you can change the lives of young people and benefit our local community. We are open 7 days a week including evenings and weekends which means more people can get involved through our flexible volunteering times.”
