Helping to take Chorley Youth Zone from dream to reality with a generous donation of £25,000 per year for the next three years, Matchstick Men Limited is named the 17th Founder Patron of Chorley’s brand new Youth Zone, Inspire.

Matchstick Men Group, made up of Product Care, Design and Trade, and G2S Ltd, is an organisation whose expertise is in the household electrical appliance sector; bringing new ideas to fruition through a range of supply, sourcing and service solutions across the UK and Europe.

After attending Inspire Youth Zone’s charity golf day in June 2017, company employees learnt more about how, with the support of the local business community, this worthwhile cause will go on to change the lives of thousands of young people, once open in Spring 2018.

Open 365 days per year, the Youth Zone will provide a safe and inspiring place for young people to socialise with others, and try new and exciting activities whilst develop their skills and interests. A friendly team of staff and volunteers will provide a listening ear and support to those who need it.

Inspired by the charity’s aims and ambitions to support young people to live healthier, happier lives, Nick Birchall and Simone Fisher challenged themselves to the Yorkshire Marathon on behalf of Matchstick Men Ltd, raising over £1,600 for Chorley Youth Zone.

Gavin Hamer, Chairman of Matchstick Men Ltd said “We are delighted to become a Founder Patron of Chorley Youth Zone. After understanding the tremendous difference the Youth Zone will have on the lives of so many young people in the community, it was a unanimous decision to fully support this fantastic charity. We look forward to the Youth Zone opening later this year and seeing the real difference that our investment can make.”

Janine Blythe, Chief Executive said “Matchstick Men Ltd is accustomed to delivering fantastic results, and their generous donation to Chorley Youth Zone is no exception. We are delighted to welcome them to our growing Founder Patron family, their support will allow Chorley Youth Zone to provide thousands of young people with somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to, 7 days per week, 365 days per year.”

The Youth Zone is being run in partnership with Chorley Council, Lancashire County Council, The Arts Partnership and OnSide Youth Zones.
