UCLAN'S REALM OF REVERIE FASHION EVENT RAISES OVER £2000 FOR INSPIRE

The University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) hosted an evening of creativity and generosity as students from the Fashion Promotion and Marketing course held their annual fashion event. This year’s theme was The Realm of Reverie. Held at the Media Factory, the event combined an immersive experience showcasing the students work in film as well as giving attendees chance to purchase from their pop-up market and raffle, raising an incredible £2,084.94 in aid of us at Inspire Youth Zone.

This unique and ethereal fashion show was the culmination of months of hard work as part of a module designed to provide students with real-world event management experience. Working collaboratively as a team of 22, the students meticulously planned and executed every aspect of the event, from conceptualisation and branding to fundraising and staging.

The theme, The Realm of Reverie, transported guests into a dreamlike world of creativity and elegance. Attendees were treated to a multisensory experience that highlighted the innovative talents of UCLan’s fashion students while presenting a sense of wonder and connection.

“Our goal was not only to showcase creativity but also to make a positive impact on the community,” said one of the event organisers.

Stacey Taylor, Content Creator at Inspire Youth Zone, added: “We provide vital support, activities, and opportunities for young people in the local area, something we cannot do without necessary support and fundraising. It was not only an incredible event, the money raised will contribute to our mission of empowering young people through meaningful programmes and resources. The success of The Realm of Reverie was a testament to the dedication and teamwork of the students. From designing the event’s ethereal theme to securing sponsors and managing logistics, the team demonstrated exceptional skills in promotion and event management. We are incredibly grateful to have been selected as the chosen charity for the event.”
