A partnership built before the doors opened
Long before we opened our doors, there were people and organisations who believed in what we could become.
The Eric Wright Charitable Trust was one of them.
As a Founding Patron, the Eric Wright Charitable Trust supported us before the building was even a building, backing the vision for a dedicated space where young people in Chorley could have somewhere to go, belong and thrive.
When we finally opened our doors in 2018, that vision became a reality. But the partnership with the Eric Wright Charitable Trust didn’t stop there. It has continued to grow.
This year they have made a new six-year commitment of £40,000 per year to Inspire, a staggering total of £240,000 over the next six years. We are truly honoured by their long-standing belief in the difference we have and will continue to make for young people in our community.
This commitment helps us plan for the future. Long-term partnerships like this are hugely important to charities. They give us greater certainty and stability, allowing us to plan beyond the immediate future and think strategically about how we can continue to develop our services, respond to the needs of young people and create even more opportunities.
It’s about being able to look ahead with confidence.

That shared belief in creating opportunities for young people was brought to life again last week when we headed to Water Park Lakeland Adventure Centre in Ulverston.
The opportunity came after the Eric Wright Charitable Trust introduced us to Water Park, which is owned and operated by them.
Set in the Lake District, Water Park provides young people with the opportunity to experience outdoor adventure, challenge themselves, develop new skills and build confidence.
For our young people, the trip was about much more than getting out for the day. It was a chance to try something new, spend time together in a completely different environment and discover what they could achieve.
It was a brilliant example of how strong partnerships can open doors to experiences that young people might not otherwise have had.
Their continued support will help us build on what we’ve achieved, create more opportunities and ensure that young people across Chorley continue to have the chance to discover their potential.
