Places for People: for the community

Showcasing their ongoing support, Places for People has continued to commit an annual donation of £20,000 to Inspire Youth Zone. This contribution highlights the organization’s dedication for positive community impact through the services we can offer.

Places for People have also expressed a strong interest in enhancing their support beyond the financial donation. They shared their intention to reinvigorate their corporate volunteer programme, an initiative that aligns perfectly with the needs of Inspire Youth Zone.

Volunteering is a crucial part of the charity sector and finding committed people with valuable skills and expertise such as Places for People employees could bring a lot to our organization and the Young People of Chorley. It was mutually agreed that their team would be particularly well-suited to volunteer in our Maker Zone, a creative space designed to inspire and equip Young People with practical skills in technology.

Additionally, there was enthusiasm around the idea of Places for People providing support to our employability programs. With their extensive experience and resources, their involvement could significantly enhance the career readiness of the young people in the local area.

Rory Monaghan, Community Investment Manager for the North of England, said “The work that the team at Inspire Youth Zone deliver has been transformative for our Community in Chorley and the surrounding areas. This ongoing collaboration not only provides our young residents with safe, engaging spaces to learn and grow, but it also fosters a sense of belonging and community spirit.”

He continued “For our Places For People Customers, this means a stronger, more vibrant community where families can thrive. We’re proud to support initiatives that create lasting positive impacts and contribute to the overall well-being of our Customers.”

We are excited to see where these future projects go and are grateful for their continued support and look forward to the positive impact we can achieve together in our community. The plaque now displayed at Places for People’s premises stands as a testament to their commitment to Inspire Youth Zone and the progress we both strive to impact young lives.
