Become A #ChorleyHomeHero by taking part in the 2.6 Challenge to help raise money for Inspire Chorley Youth Zone
How are you spending your time at home? With the country in lockdown, invitations are rare these days but Inspire Chorley Youth Zone want to invite you, your friends, your colleagues and your family to get involved in something huge!
Starting on Sunday 26th April, we’ve teamed up with the national 2.6 Challenge and we need you all to be a part of it, become a #ChorleyHomeHero and help us to continue to support our amazing young people.
We rely on donations to continue to be there for all young people but the current COVID-19 crisis has led to a huge fall in the money we raise. The 2.6 Challenge is not only fun but a way to be a part of something bigger than your own four walls – it’s a way to help save UK charities like Inspire Chorley Youth Zone.
So how can you get involved?
1. Dream up your 2.6 challenge – Run 2.6km, bake 26 cakes, build a lego tower 2.6m high or see how many Maltesers you can scoff in 26 seconds!
2. Choose to either make a donation or set-up a fundraising page for Inspire Youth Zone. Simply click here – to get started, choose donate or fundraise and type ‘Chorley Youth Zone’ in the search for a charity box. Whatever you can afford, however big or small, your donation will make a difference!
3. Ask all your friends and family to sponsor you and challenge them to do their own 2.6 Challenge
4. Complete your challenge!
5. Share a photo or video of your challenge on social media with #TwoPointSixChallenge and remember to tag Inspire Youth Zone too!
So let’s get ready! What’s your #TwoPointSixChallenge? Could you give up your phone for 26 hours, take a 2.6 mile bike ride or perform a 26 second Tik Tok! The options are endless, the only ask is that you stick to the current government guidelines on social distancing.
